Copyright Clearance Services
Here to help the University community
To understand and comply with copyright law. Protection of intellectual property rights is of critical importance to you and the University of Oregon. The Copyright Clearance Office was established in 1991 to work closely with you, publishers and rights holders, and the UO General Counsel to ensure proper use of copyrighted materials. We assist in reviewing material and securing permission when needed for copyrighted works to be used in course materials as well as books, thesis, workshops, seminars, multimedia projects, websites, and all types of departmental activities.
We make it easy for you
We have partnered with The Duck Store to distribute course packets. Customized high-quality course packets are produced quickly and conveniently for you and your students. We can take your originals and books, get publisher permission when needed, and prepare the course packet to your specifications.
To learn more about using copyrighted material or creating a course packet, contact Kati Kronholm at 541-346-5370.
